Justin Thomas walks off tee predicting hole-in-one, nearly delivers

March 16th, 2019

Justin Thomas and Bubba Watson snuck into the weekend at The Players Championship at 1-under par, 11 shots behind the leaders, and the two major champions had some fun with their round on Saturday morning. Thomas and Watson were the first players on the course, and each player came to the tee at easily drivable 281-yard par-4 at 1-under for the day. After Watson missed the green to the left, Thomas stepped up a ripped a perfect drive that appeared to be headed directly at the flag. He didn’t bother watching the ball in flight, and instead walked off the tee box and told Watson he made a hole-in-one. @JustinThomas34 nearly aced the drivable par-4 12th @THEPLAYERSChamp. And he knew it. Right away.#LiveUnderPar pic.twitter.com/ErL80HcAfd — PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR) March 16, 2019 “Go in. I made it. High five, I made it.” Thomas’ drive took a hop to the left and veered off course slightly, but the result was a magnificent shot that stopped within 10 feet of the hole. Unfortunately for Thomas, he two-putted from there and settled for a birdie. Gallery 2019 Formula 1 schedule and TV times view 21 images
