The 35-year-old Australian managed to get up-and-down for par after his approach shot nestled inches away from the left-side pond at the finishing hole of the difficult Blue Monster course at Trump National Doral Resort. “I was so lucky for it to stay up inside the hazard line,” Scott told NBC Sports.

Jordan Spieth to fellow PGA Tour pro: ‘Loser shaves their head’

March 5th, 2016

Jordan Spieth is the best golfer on the planet, so it’s only natural that he’d be confident in his game. He showed off some of that swagger on Saturday with a friendly Twitter bet proposal with his longtime friend and fellow PGA Tour pro Justin Thomas before the two’s round together on Saturday. Why do people keep tweeting at me I've seriously never even heard of this @JordanSpieth guy https://t.co/zQVJHOauT8 — Justin Thomas (@JustinThomas34) March 5, 2016 @JustinThomas34 loser shaves their head tomorrow? — Jordan Spieth (@JordanSpieth) March 5, 2016 It doesn’t look like Thomas took the bet, though. @JordanSpieth that's not a bet either of us needs to wish upon each other…. — Justin Thomas (@JustinThomas34) March 5, 2016 But not without the help of Scott Pinckney (another PGA Tour pro) who tried to peer-pressure Thomas into taking the wager. @JustinThomas34 @JordanSpieth hahah yes!!!! Bubba Watson hits drive on par-4 10 feet from the hole

March 5th, 2016

Whether you like Bubba Watson or not is irrelevant, because you have to respect the way he plays golf. Watching the way he dismantles and, at times, manhandles a golf course is so much fun, and it happened again on Friday at the WGC-Cadillac Championship. On the 16th hole, Bubba stepped onto the tee and hit a beautiful drive on the 315 yard par-4 that finished 10 feet from the pin. He missed that eagle putt, but he tapped in for an easy birdie. Bubba is the first player to drive the 16th green this week. Pin high. 10 feet. https://t.co/2CVNa8dVDJ — PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR) March 4, 2016 More Golf!Jordan Spieth to fellow PGA Tour pro: 'Loser shaves their head'15m agoSergio Garcia burns Golf Channel analyst who criticized his attitude3hr agoSerena Williams' advice to Tiger Woods: 'Try to enjoy your time away'22hr ago

Serena Williams’ advice to Tiger Woods: ‘Try to enjoy your time away’

March 4th, 2016

It’s not hard to draw comparisons between the careers of Serena Williams and Tiger Woods: Both proteges from a young age that blossomed into full-scale phenomenons that are safely secured as one of the best — if not the best — to ever play their respective sports. Although not as severe as Tiger’s battle with injury, Serena has been sidelined with a series of injuries recently, too. Asked by For The Win what her advice was for athletes like Tiger who are sidelined for long periods of time, she said that staying positive is the key: “For me I say you should just try to enjoy your time off, and when you’re feeling better, get back into it, but it’s a process that you don’t want to rush.” (USA TODAY Sports Images) Serena will have played just one tournament since last September when she takes on Caroline Wozniacki in the BNP Paribas Showdown in New York on Tuesday. One of the ways Serena occupied that time was to learn about different things. She pointed to one recent example: A trip to the headquarters of Gatorade, one of her sponsors, to learn about some of the company’s new products: “Everyone needs their time, so personally, I don’t get very frustrated. I enjoy it, do other things, learn about different things … when you’ve been doing this for 20 years it get really repetitive, so you can use it as a time to reboot so things don’t feel as militant.” More!Jordan Spieth to fellow PGA Tour pro: 'Loser shaves their head'15m agoSergio Garcia burns Golf Channel analyst who criticized his attitude3hr agoBubba Watson hits drive on par-4 10 feet from the hole3hr ago
